Hranice textu tak vlastně prochází příjemcem: text se neobejde bez významů, význam se zas coby mentální entita neobejde bez svých lidských osvojitelů a uskutečňovatelů. Proto se i sám význam nachází v ustavičném pohybu: mezi znakovým systémem a konkrétním komunikátem, mezi potenciálním a aktuálním modem své existence, mezi sociální předurčeností a individuální realizací. Aktuální, čtenářem i umělcem obývaný svět účinkuje jako protějšek uměleckého textu vlastně ve dvou různých pozicích a podobách: jednou coby reálné pozadí fiktivního světa, podruhé jako předmět celostní tvarové reflexe, tedy jako průmětna tvarového dění, které jej vždy po svém rozvrhuje a nasvěcuje. Description in English The author focuses on the action of reading – the process which employs the literary text as an external object, i. e. something pre-existing which, however, at the same time, as a unity of the signifié and the signifiant, becomes constituted with each act of reading – anew and thus variably. The boundaries of a text pass through the reader: the text cannot exist without meaning. Meaning – a mental entity, in turn, cannot exist without being effected and evoked by a human agent. Meaning itself, therefore, subsists in the ceaseless oscillation between a system of signs and a particular discourse, between social predetermination and individual realization. The actual world, co-inhabited by the artist and the reader, works as a counterpart to the literary text in two distinct positions and shapes: firstly, as a real background of the fictional world; secondly, as a subject of reflection on form in its totality, i. e. a formal projection plane which gives the fictional world its variable structure.
