Such energy dependent confining interactions between the bosons yield remarkable properties of the many-body system. As the quantum numbers increase, the total energy cannot exceed a saturation energy, which is independent of the number of particles N. Moreover, the ground state energy increases with N. As a result. the density of states tends rapidly to infinity as N and/or the quantum numbers increase.
