The defined emission factors I-TEQ PCDD/F were lower at the advanced boilers than the older design boilers. Generally the values of the defined emission factors were low compared with the emission factors used for balance calculations in the Czech Republic. That may be due to the low chlorine content in the fuel used for the experiments. The resulted emission factors show the possibility of decreasing the emissions using advanced types of combustion facilities. But the costs of these boilers are three to five times higher Workplace Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals Contact Eva Jirsová, jirsova@icpf.cas.cz, Tel.: 220 390 227 Year of Publishing 2010
