Annotation	Bumetanide, an inhibitor of cation-chloride cotransporter present in immature neurons, exhibited dose-dependent anticonvulsant action against the tonic phase of generalized seizures only in 12-day-old rats. No effect was observed in 7- and 18-day-old animals
