On the other hand, it is impossible to launch a plasma jet from light target materials like Al or plastic. The experimental results presented here demonstrate the differences in dynamics of the plasma produced on Cu and plastic targets. An attempt to explain those differences by means of numerical simulations was undertaken by using the ATLANT-HE 2-D hydrodynamic code.
