We identified the supersoft X-ray transient in the globular cluster Bol 111 with the nova M31N 2007-06b reported by Shafter&Quimby (2007). Our search for an optical nova counterpart of the supersoft source in Bol 194 using data from four different observatories did not lead to the discovery of such object. However, we cannot rule out a nova outburst in Bol 194, that is connected to the supersoft X-ray transient. In addition, we discuss the impact of our observations on the nova rate for the M 31 globular cluster system.
