AnnotationTwo new species of Gyrodactylus von Nordmann, 1832 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae), G. lamothei and G. mexicanus, are described from Girardinichthys multiradiatus (Cyprinodontiformes: Goodeidae), an endemic freshwater fish from central Mexico. Both species are markedly different in their morphology of other congeneric species parasitizing other goodeid fishes in North America.
