Annotation	Studie analyzuje na příkladu vídeňské revue Die Zeit a jednoho z jejích zakladatelů, novináře a publicisty Heinricha Kannera, politické sympatie a záměry progresistů a příslušníků okruhu tzv. Vídeňské moderny přelomu 19. a 20. století. Studie zkoumá, na kterých politických směrech a silách chtěla vídeňská moderna realizovat svoji vizi moderní rakouské integrity v době postupující demokratizace politického života v zemi. Podstatným zjištěním je skutečnost, že se z pohledu Zeitu nedařilo definovat pozitivní prorakouskou stranu či sílu. Nebylo ji možno nalézt, neboť formy a tendence, které byly a jedině mohly zůstat pro rakousko jednotné a jednotící, spočívaly v jeho konzervativních tradicích, v jeho monarchismu a supranacionálním aristokratickém a katolicko-náboženském elitářství.
Description in English	The study examines on the example of the Vienna journal Die Zeit and one of its founders, the journalist and publicist Heinrich Kanner, the political sympathies and intents of the forwardlooking members of Vienna Modernism at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The study investigates in which political directions and with what forces Vienna Modernism wanted to promote its vision of modern Austrian integrity at a time of advancing democratization of political life in the country. A significant finding is the fact that from the perspective of Die Zeit it was impossible to define a positive pro-Austrian party or power. It could not be found since the forms and tendencies which were and could remain for Austria unified and unifying consisted in its conservative traditions, its monarchism and supranational aristocratic and Catholic elitism.
