    AnnotationAn ab initio potential energy function that definitely supports the existence of the twelfth vibrational state of beryllium dimer is presented. “Morphed” versions of this potential, fitted to experimental data, closely reproduce the observed spectra, bolstering thus the strength of the assignment.
