Annotation	Biodiversity and abundance of carabid beetles in potato field with Bt transgenic cultivar was higher than in potato field with conventional cultivar sprayed with insecticide. The species Poecilus cupreus, Poecilus versicolor and Harpalus rufipes dominated in the Samokov region in 2000 and 2004, and Zabrus spinipes, Harpalus distinguendus and H. rufipes dominated in the region of Ithiman in 2001.
