Description in English The first part of the book deals with the physical fundaments of burning and distribution of various types of burning according to propagation velocity of this oxidation process. In the second part a commented pictorial exhibition through famous historical fires, which occurred abroad and in the Czech countries, is displayed. In the last part of the book modern methods and technologies of fire extinction, fire damage mitigation and compensation and are discussed and commented, including the after-fire sanitation works.
