    AnnotationHemolin, believed to function in hemolymph as an opsonin, is expressed in the silk glands of larvae either before pupation or after application of exogenous 20-hydroxyecdysone, or in in response to bacterial challenge. Hemolin is deposited in the cocoon silk.
