AnnotationThis paper presents the results of experiments on the filtering of the melt of carbon steel with the use of five types of ceramic filters. with direct holes, which differed in terms of their basic ceramic nature. The objective of the experiments was to determine the influence of filter ceramics on the re-oxidation reactions and the reactions between the filter ceramics and molten steel flowing through the filter capillaries. The metallurgical and metallographic cleanliness of the steel filtered through individual types of filters was also assessed.
