AnnotationThe work deals with numerical modelling of turbulent 3D jet flows: steady impinging jet, interaction of steady free jet with cross-flow, unsteady synthetic free jet and unsteady synthetic impinging jet. The numerical method is based on the artificial compressibility method with dual time extension for unsteady cases. Space discretization uses finite volume method with third order accurate upwind approximation for convection, the time discretisation is implicit. Turbulence is modelled using two-equation eddy viscosity models and by explicit algebraic Reynolds stress model. Numerical results are compared with measurements. The dual time artificial compressibility method gives a good agreement with results of unsteady simulations.
