AnnotationConservation practice is on one side one of the human activities which are seeking for new products, technologies, techniques or approaches promising enhanced effects at safeguarding degraded historic materials and structures. On the other side, there is a significant lack of appropriately modern conservation theories supporting an application of really effective measures in some cases. The both characteristics bring about problems which are illustrated in this contribution by means of selected case studies.
