    AnnotationThe quenching PL efect in studied glasses was established. The relative changes in PL lishape at around 1540 nm was estimated by deconvolution of spectra to gaussian sub-bands. The influence of gallium on the PL efficiency was evaluated with a view to enhanced emission cross-section.
