AnnotationAll R2Fe14Si3 compounds with non-magnetic R (Y, Ce, Lu) are ferromagnets and exhibit a moderate magnetic anisotropy of the easy-plane type. Despite of different structure modifications and different atomic radii and effective valence of R, the magnetic properties of all three compounds are rather similar. The Fe sublattice in R2Fe14Si3 has first anisotropy constant K1 of -1 MJ m-3, decreasing with temperature as Ms3, and negligible K2.
