    AnnotationInitiation of arc in a long channel of gas inside a water volume is a complicated task but is required for starting of a plasma torch with liquid stabilization of arc. It was solved by stepwise process consisted of establishment of a pilot arc in an argon chamber, propagation of ionized argon through the water chamber, reaching an anode surface and establishment of a main arc vie the ionized path. Investigation of different stages of arc initiation is done in this paper.
