Their usage in human medicine requires rapid expansion in a clinically safe medium. Here, we describe the growth properties and surface markers of human bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells cultivated in basal media supplemented with different sera in different concentrations. The main focus of this experiment is to compare the widely used foetal bovine serum with adult human serum and cord blood serum.
