Description in English	The book contains the complete account of mammalian species distributed in western Palaearctics, exlucing cetaceans. The region covered includes Europe, North Africa and the Middle East with a major part of Asia Minor. The book represents also a new guide of European mammals. Brief characteristics of each species are provided along with their colour paintings and black and white figures of discriminant traits. The book is aimed to professional zoologists as well as amateurs.
