AnnotationElectrostatic electron Bernstein waves (EBW) are studied numerically and compared to experimental results on the WEGA stellarator. Simulations are performed on specific WEGA equilibria and its antenna launch of 2.45 GHz waves. The off-axis power deposition and the outward shift of the absorption maximum produced by increasing the magnetic field is explained by the presence of a hot electron component. Moreover, the simulations also reproduce the current density reversal at the plasma centre for low magnetic fields.
