    AnnotationThis paper deals mainly with nunerical modelling and experimental investigation of the transonic flow through a 2D model of the male rotor - housing gap in a dry screw compressor. The compressible Navier -Stokes solver is developed for the purpose of clearance flow modelling. Concerning the experimental measurements, the schlieren method in Toepler configuration is carried out.
