    AnnotationWe have studied an effect of three types of modifications of carbon nanotubes (CNT)(both physical and chemical one) on dispersion and mechanical properties of the epoxy based nanocomposites. An improvement of the mechanical and the thermal stability was achieved by addition of CNT to epoxy matrix. The strong interactions between the nanotube and the polymer matrix were discovered in the nanocomposites with physically modified nanotubes.
