    AnnotationIn this study, we genetically isolated and analyzed the genes within the salt sensitivity and hypertension QTLs on spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) SHR chromosome 18, by developing and characterising a series of congenic strains in which we transferred the corresponding region of chromosome 18 from the normotensive and salt resistant Brown Norway (BN) rat onto the genetic background of the salt sensitive SHR/Ola strain
