The catchment specific variation in the model results was lowest when simulating the net nutrient load and became increasingly higher for the simulation of the gross nutrient loss from agricultural land and highest for the simulation of the gross nutrient loss from other diffuse sources. The average coefficient of variation for the model simulations of gross loss from agricultural land was nearly twice as high for P (67 %) than for N (40 %).
