The composition and the structure of the modified PE surface were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS). The modified PE samples were seeded with rat vascular smooth muscle cells or mouse NIH 33 fibroblasts, and their adhesion and proliferation were studied Workplace Institute of Physiology Contact Lucie Trajhanová, lucie.trajhanova@fgu.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 400 Year of Publishing 2010
