AnnotationThe aim of this work was to prepare the samples of carriers with lower Al2O3 contents by dealumination of the original MSA and use them as carriers of Pt catalysts. Partial dealumination should keep the desired MSA texture, and at the same time increase its acidity, which could further improve the HDS. Their acidities were characterized by activities in the skeletal isomerization of cyclohexene (CHE). The prepared Pt/MSA catalysts, with around 1 wt. % Pt, were compared in HDS of thiophene with industrial CoMo/Al2O3 and with one prepared Pt/HY zeolite sample.
