AnnotationPotassium is claimed to be a very useful modifying alkali metal, which improve properties of various oxide catalysts. Mixed oxide catalysts are often obtained by controlled thermal deposition of layered double hydroxides (LDHs). After heating at moderate temperatures, LDHs give finely dispersed mixed oxides of MII and MIII metals with a sufficiently large surface area and good thermal stability. The mixed oxides doped with various metals have been recently examined by our group as catalysts for deep oxidation VOCs and decomposition of N2P. A series of Co4MnAl LDH-derived mixed oxides containing different amount of potasssium was examined to elucitade the effect of potassium on physical-chemical properties of the catalyst.
