Annotation	Příspěvek popularizačním způsobem vysvětluje principy aktivních materiálů, zejména slitin s tvarovou pamětí, a jejich užití. Je dále presentována metodika i specifické problémy jejich matematického a počítačového modelováni.
Description in English	The contribution presents in a popular way principles of active materials, especially shape memory alloys, and their applications. Further, methodology and specific problems of their mathematical and computational modelling is presented, too.
