AnnotationThe study sums up the results obtained by applying DNA-based stable isotope probing methodology in microbial ecology and bioremediation research. The approach allows to gain taxonomic data on both cultivable and non-cultivable bacteria in soil and rhizosphere, together with information on functional genes active under given conditions.
