AnnotationThe application of AM fungi during turf aerification showed significant improvements in growth, density and vitality of grass and enabled substantial reduction in the use of irrigation water and chemical fertilizers. The use of ectomycorrhiza in a field nursery production of trees increased seedling growth. Economic feasibility of each mode of application should be evaluated to balance costs/benefits of the mycorrhiza use in the particular application. Different modes of large-scale application and their potential is discussed in particular recently introduced techniques.
