Results show that in contrast to UVB rays which were highly dangerous to the cornea and lens, UVA rays were without any significant damaging effect, investigated spectrophotometrically (for light absorption), biochemically (for nitric oxide and malondialdehyde) as well as immunohistochemically (for nitric oxide synthases).
