Description in English	This study presents an overview of changing attitudes to science and research in the last century from celebration of their power and success, to apprehension and warning. The trends concerning changes of value-structure in the spheres of scienceand research are usually expressed by challenges or slogans such as "endless frontiers", "scientific revolutions", "limits", "constraints", "impacts", "risks" etc.
