AnnotationThe study of biological samples (human/animal tissues, body fluids including blood, urine etc), within the health service, water industry, metallurgy, education, food industry, agriculture, etc., requires simple, precise, sufficiently highly sensitive methods. These methods need to be easily automated and can be applied in field measurements. From this point of view, electrochemical methods, especially voltammetry and potentiometric stripping analysis (PSA), or electrochemical detection used in separation methods, are very well suited. The applications for these methods are wide ranging however these techniques are especially advantageous due to their possibility to be utilized in analysis of trace elements, their complexes, various inorganic and organic compounds in aqueous as well as nonaqueous systems.
