We propose a simple method of covalent end-labeling of PNA with osmium tetroxide, 2,2'-bipyridine (Os,bipy). Os,bipy-modified PNA (PNA-Os,bipy) produces voltammetric stripping peaks at carbon and mercury electrodes.
