AnnotationArticle describes the effects of FGFR3-MAPK on premature synchondrosis closure in mouse models or patients suffering from Achondroplasia and Thanatophoric dysplasia. It appears that synchondrosis closure is accelerated by pathological FGFR3 signaling which may constitute a major complicating factor in potential treatment of Achondroplasia.
