Light and scanning electron microscopy studies revealed some taxonomically important, previously unreported features in this species. Heliconema izecksohni Fabio, 1982 is transferred to Cystidicoloides as C. izecksohni (Fabio, 1982) comb. n. A new genus Salmonema gen. n. is proposed for the species reported mostly as Cystidicoloides ephemeridarum (Linstow, 1872) parasitizing salmonids in the Holarctic. A key to species of Cystidicoloides is provided. Workplace Biology Centre (since 2006) Contact Dana Hypšová, eje@eje.cz, Tel.: 387 775 214 Year of Publishing 2009
