No demonstrable diference in fry survial was observed between the groups feeding with live and/or dry starter feed. The highest average total length, weight and the most advanced early development were attained by larvae fed on brine shrimp nauplii during the whole larval period of ontogeny. Contrary, the lowest average growth and slowest development was seen in larvae fed with strater feed. With an increasing duration of feeding with brine shrimp nauplii, the length and weight of larvae gradually increased, as did the coefficient of condition.
