AnnotationComparing the response of normal (FHC) and cancer (HT-29) colon epithelial cells showed differences expecially in TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Unlike FHC cells, apoptosis in HT-29 cells was potentiated by combination of TRAIL with inhibitor of MEK/ERK pathway U01126. The main difference between cell lines studied was found in the induction of mitochondrial pathway, which confirms its importance for TRAIL-induced apoptosis.
