AnnotationSmaller or larger amounts of salts are always present in tap water, which is used in experiments with drag reduction by surfactants. The influence of certrain salts on viscosity and size of micelles of these surfactants was therefore investigated. Different behavior due to quality of water was seen also in the measurements of pressure characteristics in the turbulent pipe-flow.
