AnnotationEfficient blue light-emitting devices (LEDs) were fabricated using polymer blends made of poly(9,9-dihexadecylfluorene-2,7-diyl) (SPF) with poly[(2,5-dihexadecyl-1,4-phenylene)(1,4-phenylene)] (SPPP) and polysilanes (with pyrene, biphenyl or 1,3,4-oxadiazole moieties). Blending of SPF with an appropriate polymer led to significant improvement of the EL efficiency and stability compared with the devices fabricated from neat SPF. An increase in the EL efficiency of up to two orders of magnitude was achieved.
