AnnotationA heuristic concept is developed accounting fo the increase of the drag force in the nonlaminar flow over an immersed body. In the proposed concept the increase of the drag force is a consequence of the prolonged path of fluid. Methods of fractal geometry are used to explain the structure of the prolongation. The suggested approach is applied for evaluation of pressure drop in fluid across a bed of particles.
