    AnnotationThe hexagonal compound UCuGe an antiferromagnet with TN=48 K, exhibits in fields 38-45 T (at 4.2 K), applied along the c axis, a spin-flop transition to a state with a moment of 1.35 .mu..BETA./U. The magnetic susceptibility in fields applied along the basal plane is considerably higher than along the c axis but no transition occurs in fields up to 42 T applied along either the 100or120 axis.
