    AnnotationIn this paper, the review of the results of BIOINFOMED, a study funded by the European Commission with the purpose to analyse the different isses and challenges in the area where Medical Informatics and Bioinformatics meet. In this context Biomedical Informatics has emerged to describe the technology that rings both disciplines (Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics) together to support genomic medicine.
