AnnotationYersinia enterocolitica inhibits the ability of dendritic cells (DC) to trigger T cell activation. Here, we investigated if these bacteria might interfere with antigen prezentation in DCs. We found that Yersinia outer protein P (YopP) of Y. enterocolitica inhibits receptor-mediated endocytosis by targeting mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK). Moreover, we showed that Y. enterocolitica inhibits macropinocytosis by yet unknown mechanism. All of which contributes to the evasion strategy of adaptive immunity
