AnnotationYersinia outer proteins (Yops) of Yersinia enterocolitica disrupt the actin cytoskeleton and phagocytosis of epithelial cells and macrophages. Here, we investigated the effects of different Yops of Y. enterocolitica on murine dendritic cells (DC). YopE, YopH and YopT cooperate to rapidly disrupt the actin cytoskeleton of DC, whereas YopE and YopH are the main effector protein responsible for the inhibition of the phagocytic function of DC. We revealed cell type-specific as well as Yersinia strain and serotype-specific effects of Yops on innate immune functions of DC
