    AnnotationNi2P and Ni12P5 containing catalysts were prepared by impregnation of oxidic precursors on a SBA-15 or CMK-5 nanoporous carbon. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and 31P solid-state NMR confirmed the presence of Ni2P and Ni12P5 at initial P/Ni = 2 and 0.5 ratios, respectively. Lower HDS and higher HDN activities of reduced Ni phosphide catalysts in comparison to commercial sulfided NiMo/alumina were observed in simultaneous reaction of thiophene and pyridine reactions at 320 degree C and 20 bar. Higher activities were found on the silica than on the carbon supported catalysts.
