    AnnotationInstead of the prototypical detergent Triton X-100, we tried to find some other detergent(s) for membrane domains isolation, which would preserve GPCR/G protein coupling. Among various non-ionic detergents tested, Brij58 appeared to be the most convenient choice. We used baclofen-stimulated [35S]GTPγS binding study or measurement of high-affinity [γ32P]GTPase activity as valuable tools for assessment of direct functional coupling between the GABAB receptors and their cognate Gi proteins
