    AnnotationTwo new alternating copolymers containing discrete chromophores of substituted 2,7-distyrylfluorene bridged through alkylenes directly attached to the C-9 of fluorene were prepared with a simple synthetic route. The polymers were soluble in common organic solvents and showed relatively low Tg values.
