In this work we compare relative contributions of this two processes to line intensity depressions in the darkest part of the EUV filament (the H alpha filament) and in its EUV extension using non-LTE 1D-slab model and observations of the profiles of Lyman lines made by SOHO/SUMER and of the H alpha lines made by THEMIS/MSDP.
